Area law enforcement is looking for a man who fled Thursday when officers attempted to serve a warrant on him.

Toombs County Sheriff Alvie Junior Kight says that around 4:00 Thursday morning, deputies tried to serve an arrest warrant on Christopher Alan Kemp near the Parker's convenience store on Highway 121 S. in Metter. Kemp fled in a vehicle going at a high rate of speed with deputies in pursuit. The chase went from Candler County into Tattnall County in Cobbtown, and into Toombs County, eventually ending near Reidsville. When Kemp's vehicle was stopped, he fled on foot. He was last seen in a light green, early 2000's model Ford Expedition in Tattnall County Thursday afternoon. He has several outstanding warrants and will have additional charges from the pursuit that begin in Candler County Thursday morning.
