With school officially out for the summer, the Vidalia-Toombs County Library is reading to being its Summer Reading Program - but with some modifications.

Branch Manager Jan Outler said no performers will personally appear at the library this summer due to COVID-19, but there will be 3 virtual performances. Local participants can view a calendar of the program on the library's website and Facebook page. Each will include a craft that accompanies the story, and children can pick up craft materials at the library.

Outler said the library reopened on May 26, and is operating Monday - Friday from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m., and is strongly practicing CDC guidelines to protect against contracting the Coronavirus. Those hours of operation may change as conditions warrant.
