5 27 20 VHS Cabe

(L-R) VHS Athletic Director Coach Tommy Dalley, Reid Cabe and VHS Head Soccer Coach Josh Harrell.

May 28— Congratulations to Vidalia High School senior Reid Cabe who was named the winner of the 2019-2020 Southeast Georgia Soccer Positive Athlete Award. Positive Athlete Georgia is a movement by high-character professional athletes tied to Georgia professional and collegiate sports teams to promote the benefits of positivity to young athletes.

“I am thankful for my coaches, especially Coach Harrell and my teammates on helping me be more positive and pushing me to do better. My freshman year we were a very good team but sometimes we would get down on each other and we would play inconsistently.Over the years I learned how to be more positive. It really helped us to become a better team and win more games. Even if you are the best there is always a chance to fail and remaining positive helps you to go forward.” Cabe said.

“Reid has demonstrated this example on and off the field of positivity and lifting each other up and promoting the things that we preach day in and day out. I can’t imagine coaching another kid like him, every single thing he did was just top notch. It was unbelievable to be around him for four years. We are extremely saddened by how his senior season was cut short. We are very proud of him and excited for his future, he is a bright kid and he is going to go on and do great things.” VHS Head Soccer Coach Josh Harrell said.

Reid plans on going to college at Georgia Tech.
