May 27-- Ms. Debbie Pittman, age 69, of Lyons, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020, in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Miami, Florida and a 1969 graduate of Miami Central High School. She lived in North Carolina before moving to Lyons in 1984. She worked with Pizza Inn in Vidalia for eighteen years, ultimately becoming manager, and more recently worked at Marco’s Pizza in Vidalia. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Lyons. She had fur babies most of her life. She was preceded in death by a son, Brian Spikes; and her father, Howell Pittman.
Ms. Pittman is survived one daughter, Lisa C. Rich and husband Steve of Lyons; four grandchildren, Erik Spikes and wife Kristen, Karstin Poole, Dakota Poole and Andrew Poole; her mother, Frances Pittman; one sister. Susan Pratt and husband Stephen of Cooper City, Florida; one niece, Shannon Santos and husband Jorge of Davie, Florida; one nephew, Stephen Pratt, Jr. and wife Andreya of Palm Bay, Florida; and six great- nieces and great-nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 28th, at 1:00 p.m. in the Lyons City Cemetery with Reverend Richard Barnard officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery from Noon until just prior to the service.
