On Wednesday of this week, Vidalia High School announced the 2020 Valedictorian and Salutatorian. Tatum Calloway had the highest GPA and was named Valedictorian while Pryia Patel had the second highest average and is the 2020 Salutatorian.

Calloway is planning on attending the University of Georgia and contemplating obtaining a law degree. Patel will attend Georgia Southern University and study Premed with a goal of becoming a doctor.

Principal John Sharpe said "In all, 48 members of the Class of 2020 received the distinction of honor graduate and that is a testament not only to the students but also a great deal of the credit goes to the parents and teachers who have been with them throughout their journey."

You can watch a complete video with Calloway and Patel with Vidalia City School Communication Director John Koon by searching Vidalia City School News on YouTube.

The Class of 2020 at Vidalia High School will hold graduation on Saturday, June 20, at 9:00 a.m. on Buck Cravey Field, weather permitting.
