South Victory Drive in Lyons is a sea of red, white and blue. Since 2017, the Lyons Lions Club has placed white crosses and American flags in honor of local veterans who have served our country in the Armed Forces.

Lyons Lions Club member Jason Hall said this year there are 171 flags and crosses on display, with six of those honoring local veterans who were killed in action. 

The flags are displayed on Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. While it is too late to have any flags and crosses added for Memorial Day, to have a veteran memorialized in November on Veteran's Day, just ask any Lyons Lions Club member or Google Lyons Lions Club and follow the links.
