Although COVID-19 caused schools to change their commencement plans, local high schools have announced their plans for graduation.

Vidalia High School's graduation will be held on Saturday, June 20 at 9:00 a.m. at Buck Cravey Field weather permitting. As a part of the Indians' graduation, the seniors of the National Honor Society at VHS has purchased vinyl banners for each VHS graduate who had their photos taken by the Davis House Photography. The banners will be displayed on downtown Vidalia streets this Wednesday or Thursday for the community to do a walk-thru and take photos if desired. An Honor the Class of 2020 drive thru with the banners displayed will be held this Friday night from 7:30 - 8:30 at Vidalia High School.

Montgomery County High School will hold graduation on Friday, July 17 at 7:00 in the MCHS/MCMS gymnasium. Each graduate will be allotted 6 tickets for family and friends to ensure social distancing. In addition, the Montgomery County School System is planning a prom and when the plans are finalized, they will be announced.

Toombs County High School is planning a traditional graduation on Saturday, July 18 at 8:30 a.m. in The Pit in Lyons. If conditions warrant a change, an alternative drive-thru ceremony will be held at Toombs County High School.

Vidalia Heritage Academy's graduation will be Friday, June 19 at 7:00 p.m.. in the main auditorium of the Vidalia First Baptist Church.

If graduation plans are updated or changed, they will be announced on this webpage and on Newsbreak.
