VHS Boys Track Team Senior Spotlight

May 13-- The VHS Indians Track team had seven talented seniors competing for the school during the 2020 season.

5 13 20 K Jones

"Kahlil Jones is the leader of our sprinters on the track team. He arrives for excellence everyday and expects the same from his team. Kahlil is a four year letterman with his best events being the 100, the 200 , the 4x100 and the 4x400. Kahlil plans to attend Brewton Parker and compete on the track team." Coach Mandy Godbee said

. 5 13 20 Cole Register

"Cole Register is a four year letterman in cross Country and track, being ranked and placing in the state championships. Cole has led the Vidalia distance program to new heights while breaking through many barriers. Cole ran sub 18 minutes in the 5k, sub 11 minutes in the 3,200 and sub 5 minutes in the 1,600. With Cole's leadership, other athletes have been able to do follow his lead and break through the same barriers." Godbee said. 5 13 20 Jessi McRae

"Jesi McRae is a four year letterman and on overall outstanding track athlete. He has competed in the high jump,110 hurdles 400 hurdles 4x200, 4x100 and the 4x400. Jesi is commonly the highest point scorer on the team and has turned in times to lead the state in the 300 hurdles and 110 hurdles this season. Jesi has committed to running at Savannah State on scholarship next year." Coach Godbee stated.

5 13 20 T. Stewart

"Tai'siah Stewart has competed in track for four years. He has developed in to an excellent hurdler as he was climbing the state rankings in the 110 hurdles. Tai'siah is an enthusiastic leader that works hard on the track and expects the same hard work from his team mates." Godbee said. 5 13 20 William Page

"William Page has competed and lettered four years in track. He has been on the 4x400 relay team and has excelled in the long jump and triple jumps.William won the triple jump in a multi state indoor meet this year with a jump that still leads the state. William plans on competing at brewton Parker on scholarship next year." Godbee said

. 5 13 20 Chason Brogden

Chason Brogdon is a stand out leader and runner for the track and cross country teams, lettering all four years in both sports. Chason is a team leader and one of the toughest runners on the team Chason's best events in track were the 800 and the 1600." Coach Godbee stated.

5 13 20 Markell Parrish

"Markell Parrish is an outstanding runner and is always willing to step up and lead the pack. His hard work and dedication have launched him into the state rankings Markell has lettered in track and cross country the past four years with his best events being the 800 and the 4x400." Godbee said.
