May 6-- The Montgomery County Eagles Baseball team was off to a 7-3 start to the 2020 season when the season was canceled. Here are the three seniors on the team:
"Mason Suttles has been a member of the MCHS baseball team for two years. Mason was an outfielder/ DH for the Eagles. This year Mason was off to a hot start at the plate for the Eagles as he was second on the team in on base percentage at .484. A big part of that is because he wasn't afraid to stay in the box and take a pitch, which he led the team in hit by pitches. Mason will be missed as he was a big part of the lineup this year." Coach Chase Young said.
"Noah Bargeron has been a member of the MCHS baseball team all four years of his high school career. Noah has seen time on the mound and has played first base for the Eagles. Noah was off to a good start in his senior season reaching base 13 times in ten games. Noah knew how to joke around and keep the team loose no matter what the situation was. The thing that Noah will be missed for is his accountability; he was always at practice, games, and during all our summer workouts and games." Coach Young stated.
"Kevin DeLeon has been a member of the Eagles baseball team for 3 years. Kevin is a third baseman for the Eagles. Kevin was no doubt a leader on the team he was always willing to help others on the team whether at practice or during games. Kevin was always willing to do whatever he was asked to do. Kevin is a Joe Davis award recipient for the Eagles for his leadership and his great teammate qualities that he showed. Kevin's leadership will be greatly missed and hard to replace."
