Ms. Annice Towns Clark, 92, of Glenwood passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Treutlen Health and Rehab after a brief illness.  She was born December 19, 1927 in Glenwood, GA to the late Peter Jack and Maude Dixon Towns. She was a lifelong member of Glenwood First United Methodist Church where she served in many capacities, but she will always be remembered most for her gift of music and roll as choir director.  Ms. Clark loved using her God-given musical talent to bless others every opportunity she was given.  She also loved to cook for her friends and family and gather around the piano for an old fashion gospel sing.  Anyone who knew Annice Clark can most likely tell you of a time they enjoyed one of her many famous dishes. She owned and operated a beauty shop for a number of years, where she cared for and ministered to so many. Her servant heart and loving kindness will be missed by all who knew her.     

She is survived by two sons: Larry Gene Clark and Kim Leslie (Carol) Clark; four grandchildren: Kelly (Greg) Quick, Curtis (Megan) Clark, Fletcher (Cassie) Clark, and Melissa (Scott) Barrow; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister: Joy Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Ms. Clark was preceded by her husband: Harry Gene Clark; sisters: Willa Mae Clark, Gussie Yawn, Hilda Smith, and Addis Richardson; and brother: George Edward Towns.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 11:00am in the Glenwood City Cemetery for immediate family only.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Glenwood First United Methodist Church.
