April 9-- Chad Evan Anderson, age 21, of Vidalia, passed away late Tuesday evening, April 7, 2020, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center of Statesboro from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Chad was a native of Reidsville, living in Vidalia since 2011. He was a 2016 graduate of Vidalia High School. He was a member of his high school wrestling team and was a manager for the Indian football team. He was also a member of JROTC. Chad worked as a cook at Olive Garden of Statesboro and was a former assistant manager at Little Ceasars of Vidalia. He was passionate about drawing and writing poems and he loved hanging out with his family and friends. He was a very kind-hearted and thoughtful person who was a loyal friend to those he was close to. He was a member of Vidalia First United Methodist Church.

Chad was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bobby Anderson and his maternal grandfather, Willie Joe Anderson.

He is survived by his parents, Neil Anderson of Brunswick and Amy Anderson of Reidsville; two brothers, Kendall Neil Anderson of Reidsville and Lance Hutto of Reidsville; paternal grandmothers, Arlene Anderson of Reidsville and Mary Ann Martinson of Vidalia; maternal grandmother, Faye B. McCord of Claxton; one uncle, Kelly Anderson of Darien; and three aunts, Bobbie Eason of Reidsville, Lisa (Kelvin) Mosley of Reidsville, and Cindy (Seaby) Beasley Phillips of Soperton. Several cousins also survive.

The family will be giving friends an opportunity to come by Toombs County Funeral Home to pay their respects on Friday, April 10, 2020, between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm.  Per government guidelines, only 10 visitors at a time will be allowed to enter the funeral home and the 6-foot rule will be enforced.  A private Graveside Funeral Service will be held at Reidsville City Cemetery with Pastor Jose Caraballo and Pastor Ashley Sasser officiating.

Pallbearers are Blake Clark, Dean White, Raiden Honaker, Bruce Honaker, David Evans and Dalton Caraway.

Toombs County Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
