WAYCROSS, Ga. – After a well-decorated career including All-Southeast Region honors, former Georgia College pitcher Bradly Cammack (2019) has been named an assistant coach at South Georgia State College.
"We are super proud and excited for Coach Cammack to begin his journey in the world of collegiate coaching at South Georgia State," said GC Head Coach Jason Eller. "Over the last couple of years we have been able to create a coaching tree and Bradly is the next bright young star on the rise. The significant contributions he made to our program as coach and a player will be remembered in the recordbooks and in our history. We wish coach the best as he opens the next chapter of his life."
Cammack spent two seasons with the Bobcats after transferring in from SGSC. He earned slots on the All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) First Team and PBC All-Tournament Team in his junior season, as well as a reliever spot on the Rawlings All-Southeast Region squad.
The righty set the single-season record for victories at GC in 2018, nabbing his 13th victory that season by eliminating Wingate University from the NCAA Regional.
Cammack joined the coaching staff for the abbreviated 2020 season, assisting pitching coach Kane Keith with a staff that posted a strong 3.84 ERA over the 15 games.
"My time at GC greatly prepared me for this job opportunity that I have recently accepted," said Cammack. "Kane Keith and Jason Eller really gave me a clear understanding on how a top-tier baseball program is supposed to run. I feel as if I'm ready to translate all of those ideologies to South Georgia State. Beau Welborn also joined the staff this past fall and helped me make the transition to a coach. I really want to thank everyone at Georgia College for all the love and support I have received over the past three years."
