March 23-- Mr. Phil Hester, age 57 of Soperton passed away on Friday morning, March 20, 2020 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia, Georgia.
Born in Soperton, he was the eldest of three children born to the late James Elmer and Annette Sellers Hester. Phil grew up on Crooked Run Road and attended Treutlen County High School. He worked as a Truck Driver with JAG Trucking, Foskey Trucking and most recently, Taylor and Sons Construction in East Dublin.
He loved his affiliation with the Norristown Revival Center.
His family recalls his unique wit, sense of humor and love for Jesus and motorcycles.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Denise, who passed away on March 12th of this year.
Phil leaves behind, his children, Ryan Hester (Bridgett), Soperton, GA, Dixie Donaldson (Scott), East Dublin, GA, Tanya Hester, Soperton, GA, Renee Peebles (Justin), Swainsboro, GA, his brother, Chad Hester (Scarlett), Soperton, GA, his longtime caregiver, Sam Heuett, Soperton, GA, twelve grandchildren, Nicholas, Destiny, Bransyn, Brystal, Gavin, Chaise, Job, Jalen, Jayla, Cameron, Isaac and Addison, niece and nephews, Alexis, Zach and A.J.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the Norristown Revival Center with Pastor Jack Stafford officiating.
Phil will be laid to rest in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Cody, D.J., Michael and Danny Earl Sellers, Keith Clements, Houston Howell and Chris Carter.
His family will receive friends on Sunday, at the church, from 10:00 am until the hour of service.
