March 18-- Mrs. Lillian Amerson Harvey, age 76 of Pooler passed away on Monday afternoon, March 16, 2020 at her residence.
Born in Atlanta, GA, she was the second of four children born to the late Claude Alexander Amerson and Rosie Mae Murphey Amerson. She grew up in Fulton County and married Dewey D. Harvey in the early 1960s. The Harvey’s lived in Pooler for many years and in Tarrytown during the late 1990s.
She enjoyed bowling, scratch off lottery tickets, crossword puzzles and spoiling her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Dewey Deland Harvey, who passed away in 2000, a son, Dennis Harvey, her sister, Claudett Spivey, a brother, Claude Amerson Jr.
She leaves behind: two sons, Darrell Harvey, Bloomingdale, GA, Kenny Harvey (Brandy), Statesboro, GA, her sister, Effie Mae White (Hardy), Grayson, GA, grandchildren, Blake Harvey, Jonathan Harvey, Craig Harvey, Deanna Lewis (Scott), Nicholas Harvey, Chastity Morris (Jeremy), several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from the graveside in Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery, Mt Vernon, GA with Chaplain Keith Ferguson officiating.
Mrs. Harvey will be laid to rest beside her husband.
Her family will receive friends at the graveside.
