March 16 --Denise “Neesie” Hester, age 55 of Soperton, passed away on Thursday afternoon, March 12, 2020 at Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, GA.
Born in Soperton, she was the only daughter and one of three children born to the late James Elmer and Annette Sellers Hester. Denise had worked at Soperton Manufacturing, GFF and most recently at the 221 “C” Store.
She enjoyed time spent with her family and attended Norristown Revival Center.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
She leaves behind her son, Aaron “AJ” Hester, Macon, GA, two brothers, Phil Hester and Chad Hester (Scarlett), all of Soperton, GA, nieces and nephews, Ryan Hester, Dixie Donaldson, Tanya Hester, Renee Peebles, Alexis Hardy, Zach Hardy and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Norristown Revival Center with Pastor Jack Stafford officiating.
Denise will be laid to rest beside her parents in Red Bluff Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Zach Hardy, Ryan Hester, Sammy Graham, Blake Johnson, Brad Sellers, Deric Hester, Michael Sellers, Danny Earl Sellers and Jalen Mitchel.
Her family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Sammons Funeral Home or friends may call at the home of Chad and Scarlett Hester.
