March 12-- Mr. Frank Paul Toler, age 87 of Soperton, passed away on Wednesday morning, March 11, 2020 at his home.
A native and lifelong resident of Treutlen County, Mr. Toler was one of four children born to the late Elbert Franklin and Ethel Wood Toler. He was a graduate of Soperton High School. Mr. Toler had worked for the State of Georgia Department of Transportation, for over 30 years, from where he retired as the Foreman over the Sign Division in 1992.
He enjoyed gardening, tending to his plants and fishing.
He was Baptist by faith.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Paul Toler Jr. who passed away in 2016, a brother, Ed Toler and a sister, Doris Toler, all of Soperton.
Mr. Toler leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Virginia Hopkins Toler, Soperton, GA, their daughter, Deborah Durden (Lanny), Wrightsville, GA, a sister, Lillian Hooks, Soperton, GA, grandchildren, Lindsay Durden, Dublin, GA, Lance Durden (Lexie), North Augusta, SC, Lacey Durden, Soperton, GA and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside in Westview Cemetery at 3:00 o’clock on Friday, March 13, 2020 with his nephew, Pastor Jamey Toler officiating.
Mr. Toler’s family will receive friends at the graveside prior to and following the service.
