March 12-- Mrs. Madge Wilds Weitman, age 80, of Lyons, died Monday, March 9, 2020, in Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon, after a sudden illness. She was a native of Leesburg, Florida, moving to Toombs County in 1954 where she lived most of her life, but also lived several years in Tattnall County. She retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections at Georgia State Prison in Reidsville and was a member of the Greater Life Church in Lyons. She was a devoted and loving caregiver to all of her family. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Walter Anderson and Prentiss Weitman; parents, Steven Wilds and Melba Duggan Wilds; two sisters, Luetta Vickers and LaWaun Weitman; and two brothers, Daniel Wilds and Robert Wilds.

Mrs. Weitman is survived by five children, Phillip Anderson and wife Karen of Lyons, Brenda Lazarus and husband Joseph of Orlando, Florida, Kay Howard of Flintville, Tennessee, Dana Roman, and Shea Hullender and husband Joseph, all of Lyons; eight grandchildren, Angie Howard and husband Matt, Anthony Lazarus, Ashley Collins and husband Larry Joe, Brandon Anderson and fiancé Paige, Erica Holt and husband Dustin, Adam Howard, Guadalupe Roman, Alex Roman and Ali Roman; six great-grandchildren, Trail, Levi, Eva Jo, Aubree, Vada and Kaden; a great-grandson, Keaton to be born in April; several nieces, nephews, and bonus children, Heather, Missi and Kellan.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

The funeral service will be held Friday, March 13th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Rickey Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Stoney Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Tattnall County.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Greater Life Church, 222 Oxley Drive, Lyons, GA 30436.

Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home of Vidalia is in charge of arrangements.
