February 25-- The Toombs County youth wrestling program participated in the State AAU wrestling competition hosted by Fitzgerald last Saturday. Brock Nobles, Sam Sapp and Dax Nobles all won State titles, Traveyon Harris and Samuel Register were state-runner ups, Dabvin Wadley  was 3rd place, Dylan Vetters and Hatcher Williams placed 4th.

Coach Sam Sapp said this about the competition, "I was extremely proud of the guys that wrestled and how they finished this year.To have 3 state champs is exciting for our program. I really think all the guys that went to the tournament wrestled well. We stress how important it is to wrestle your best as the stakes get higher and I thought our guys did that. I am really excited about the guys we have in the program and the ones we are sending to the HS next year. To finish 2nd as a team is just an added bonus for us this year."
