Feb. 22-- Mr. William Joseph “Skip” Fowler, age 71, of Cedar Crossing, died Thursday, February 20, 2020, at his home, after an extended illness.  He was a native of Treutlen County and lived there until moving to Toombs County in 1984.  He was owner/operator of William Fowler Trucking and had previously worked with J.B. Hunt, Wooten, Transtar, and Ohoopee Transport.  He was a member of the North Thompson Baptist Church and a former member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church in Treutlen County.  He loved the outdoors, his animals, old automobiles, and putting model car kits together.  He was a preceded in death by a son John Mosley; two granddaughters Amber Mosley and Beth Mosley; parents Charlie Henry Fowler and Myra Mae Kea Fowler; and a sister June Fowler Walker.

Mr. Fowler is survived by his wife Mary Mosley Fowler; three children Linda Mosley Brantley and husband Greg, all of Cedar Crossing, Hank A. Mosley and wife Renee’ of Lyons, and Brandy Juruzel and husband Chris of Traverse City, Michigan; two brothers Wyman Fowler and Patsy of Oak Park, and Wayne Fowler and wife Barbara of Soperton; six grandchildren Keisha Callahan and husband Cy, Kristi Denmark and husband Benji, Nicole Moran and husband Joey, Lance Mosley and wife Lindsey, Spencer Mosley, and Willow Juruzel; four great-grandchildren, a great-grandchild to be born in August and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, February 23, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cedar Crossing Baptist Church with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cedar Crossing Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Cedar Crossing Baptist Church on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
