February 13-- The following Mandatory Evacuation Order was issued this morning by the Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency.

The Montgomery County Board of Commissioners in consultation with the Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency has issued a Local State of Emergency and further has issued an immediate evacuation of all areas of Three Rivers Lane, Dead River Road and Towns Bluff Lane effected by the rising flood waters of the Oconee Rive beginning 2/13/20 at 8:00 AM.

Any one needing assistance to evacuate can call 911 or the EMA Office at 912-347-9828.

Any one who decides to stay in the effected flood zone and later requires emergency services will only receive help once it is safe for emergency personnel to enter the flood zone.

This Evacuation Order will remain in effect until the flood waters recede to a safe level.
