A Telfair County man and woman have been sentenced in federal court for the roles they played in the illegal transportation and other offenses regarding a minor.

Meg Heap, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia, said Noah Zachery Cason, 25, of McRae entered a guilty plea in court and was sentenced to 240 months in prison and ordered to pay a $2,500 fine. He was also ordered to pay an assessment of $100 to the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Assistance Fund, and register as a sex offender upon his completion of his prison sentence.

Alexandra McLain, 26, also of McRae, was sentenced as Cason’s co-defendant and received 120 months in prison, a $2,000 fine, and 10 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography. She, too, was ordered to pay an assessment in the amount of $100 to the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Assistance Fund, and must register as a sex offender after her prison sentenced.

According to documentation, in November 2024, Cason traveled to Oklahoma to pick up and transport a minor child to his residence in McRae. Cason engaged in sexual activity with the minor at a stopover in Alabama. When he got back to McRae, Cason recorded more sexual acts with the knowledge and encouragement of McLain and those acts were documented on electronic devices.

Meanwhile, the guardian of the minor filed a missing person’s reports, and the defendants were determined to be the perpetrators through online activity on social media. With the use of license plate readers, investigators confirmed and tracked Cason’s vehicle from Oklahoma to Georgia. Investigators located Cason and McLain at their residence, but they denied knowing the minor or her whereabouts. Cason later admitted to transporting the child and to inappropriate contact.

This case was investigated by the FBI, Human Trafficking Unit, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, Amtrak Oklahoma Police Department, and the Telfair County Sheriff’s Office.

Cason and McLain will be required to serve their entire sentences in prison as there is no parole in the federal prison system.
