Candler County Emergency Management is partnering with Bulloch County EMA and the Tri-County 911 Center on a new AED registration initiative.

Beginning July 1, Georgia’s new AED legislation will help 911 dispatchers identify nearby Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) during cardiac emergencies. The goal is simple — get lifesaving equipment to people faster when every second matters.

Candler County EMA Director Justin Wells said, "We are asking businesses, churches, schools, gyms, industries, organizations, and community groups across Candler County to register any AEDs they may have in their facilities or vehicles. The information will be accessible to 911 dispatchers and emergency responders to improve emergency response throughout our area."

If you have an AED, please take a few minutes to register it here:

This is a simple step that could help save a life.
