Banderas

Franky Banderas

A lot of time, effort,  and manpower went into a search Saturday night in Toombs County but as of Monday afternoon, the suspect remains at large.

Toombs County Sheriff Jordan Kight said a heavy presence of law enforcement around Falcon Drive in the Quail Ridge Subdivision were attempting to locate and arrest Franky Banderas for aggravated assault and cruelty to children that had occurred earlier in the day. In addition to the Toombs County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Natural Resources brought their K9 Unit to the scene, and aerial assistance was supported by drones and Georgia State Patrol Aviation.

Saturday afternoon, the Sheriff’s Office said that Banderas was to be considered armed and dangerous.

Despite the relentless efforts of law enforcement, Banderas wasn’t apprehended, and officials believe he has left the area and even though the state agencies have also departed the area without a suspect, the effort to find the wanted man continues.

Banderas is described as a Hispanic male, 39 years of age, 5’9” in height and weighs approximately 210 pounds.

If you know of his whereabouts or have any information, you are asked to contact the Toombs County sheriff’s office at 912-526-9292 or call 911.
