Wintery weather conditions may have led to the death of an Albany, Georgia, man in Candler County Saturday night.

According to the Candler County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on Highway 121 North near Forest Drive. He was identified as Charles Tarver. Reports say he was driving north when his car left the roadway and crashed.

Snow began falling just before 3:00 Saturday afternoon and continued until just after dark with up to an inch or more accumulation in some areas of the county, and the roads were slippery and presented dangerous driving conditions.

Tarver’s vehicle was the only one involved in the crash.
