August 15--  Vidalia High School Head Football Coach Lee Chomskis and the team's three captains previewed the upcoming Indian season at this week's meeting of the Vidalia Rotary Club.

Coach Chomskis said this year's 67-member squad is young with only eleven seniors, but said he is impressed with their work ethic, character and desire. 

The coach said he selects the team captain's each year based on their demonstrated leadership and character.  All three are in dual enrollment programs at Southeastern Technical College and are planning on attending college.

Each of the captains spoke to the Rotarians and are looking forward to a good year on the gridiron.

The Indians have a pre-season scrimmage Friday night with the Washington County Golden Hawks in Sandersville. 

They open the 2019 season at home August 30 versus the Appling County Pirates.
