July 30-- Brock Nobles, an upcoming 8th grader at Toombs County Middle School, was selected for the US National Football Middle School Team this summer.

Eighteen regional tryouts were held nationwide for top athletes on an “invite only basis” and Brock made the team after a regional tryout at Kennesaw.

brockBrock traveled to Canton, Ohio this summer and  trained under NFL and college coaches including hometown favorite Nick Eason (left) who is currently coaching with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Brock and his teammates from across the country were given the name Team Freedom. They practiced for a week prior to competing against Team Honor in the US National Football Middle School Bowl Game.

Brock's Team Freedom defeated Team Honor 34-7 in the game at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton 

Brock thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity and is eager to try out again next year.

Brock is the son of Derrick and Tabatha Nobles of Lyons..
