April 13—The Vidalia High School Lady Indians Soccer team’s undefeated season came to an end Friday at Buck Cravey Field. The Lady Indians fell to the St. Vincent’s Saints 6-3 in the Region 2AA Championship Game. The Saints got on the board in the first four minutes of the match and scored three more goals in the first half. Madison Tauffman (Left)4 13 19 Madison Tauffmann scored a goal for Vidalia in the first half to make the score 4-1 Saints at halftime.

The Lady Indians regrouped at halftime and came out in the second half and played better getting two goals by Ella Owen (Below).4 13 19 VHS Soccer Ella OwenSt. Vincent’s added two more goals to win the championship.

“I was disappointed in the outcome of the game, but I wasn’t disappointed in how the team fought back in the second half. The girls didn’t quit and continued to play hard. We have got to put this one behind us and go to work on Monday and get ready for the state playoffs.” Coach William Harn said.
