3 12 19 BPC Lady BaronsMount Vernon, Ga--The Lady Barons competed in the championship game for the NCCAA South Region against Piedmont International. They won by a large margin: 93-74. 

It was a pretty evenly matched game in the first quarter, but the Barons double Piedmont's points in the second to pull away by 19 points going into half: 50-31. The second half of the game both teams scored 43 points, but the margin was already set. 

Five Barons scored in double digits: Dominique Haynes led the team with 20 points, Latoya King and Ni-Dericka Rainey had 16, Joy Hadley had a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds and Jada Ivy had 10 points. Joy Hadley also had 6 blocks.

"I'm proud of my team and the way we played today. We are super excited about the opportunity we have in front of us and we are honored to go represent our school," states Coach Steve Edwards.

Following the completion of the championship games, the NCCAA tournament committee seeded the field for the National Championship. BPC earned the second seed and will face 7th seed Judson University on Wednesday at 1:45PM (Courtesy of Brewton Parker College)
