March 11-- The VHS Lady Indians competed in the Swamp Relays this past Saturday in Ware County. .Teams in attendance were Monroe Comprehensive High School, Richmond Hill, Brunswick, Ware County, Statesboro, Coffee, Effingham, Wayne County, Camden County, Jeff Davis, New Hampstead, Appling County, Toombs County and McIntosh County Academy. 

The Lady Indians placed 10th overall. 

Placing for the lady Indians:

Myesha Hall placed 1st in Triple Jump

Myesha Hall placed 3rd in Long jump

Ashtyn Braddy placed 8th in the 100 meter dash

Natalie Owens placed 8th in the 400 meter dash

Kyleigh Johnson placed 5th in 300 meter hurdles

Team A of the 4x100 meter relay team placed 7th overall. Team consisted of Dasia Williams, Ashtyn Braddy, Natalie Owens and Myesha Hall.

Team A of the 4x400 meter relay placed 6th overall. Team consisted of Kyleigh Johnson, Ashtyn Braddy, Natalie Owens and Myesha Hall.

Kayijeah Victoria placed 6th in Discus.

Coach Hart stated, “I am very proud of the way the team competed this past weekend. There was a lot of competition there. Everybody competed well throughout the meet. We are going to continue to work hard and get better at practice. We have a huge week ahead of us. We go to East Laurens Tuesday, we have our 3rd Annual County Championships at Home on Friday and we go to the Tiger Relays in Hinesville on Saturday.
