Congratulations to Vidalia Indian senior standout Nyshun Bell on signing his letter of intent for a scholarship to play football at the University of Pikeville in Kentucky.

“I want to thank my parents and the rest of my family, and my coaches at Vidalia High School, it really was a blessing coming up through the program and having the success while I was there. Pikeville felt like home to me when I visited the school and I am thankful for this opportunity. I hope I can open the door for others players from Vidalia to maybe also get this opportunity at Pikeville.” Bell said.

Coach Lee Chomskis said, “I am proud for him and his family, it takes a total team effort to get to where he is going and he has done a lot of hard work. Nyshun is a great player and I think Pikeville is very lucky to get him. He was AJC AA First Team All-State and Region 2AA Player of the Year. He also worked hard in the classroom to be able to get this great opportunity.”

“I am very proud of Nyshun and I like Pikeville, it is a small community and a Christian based school and I know he will be getting a good education, along with a chance to further his football career.” Aleshia Gillis said. 2 6 19 Nyshun Bell
