Mount Vernon, Ga--BPC baseball hosted Rio Grande in their home opening weekend and lost three games.

First game- 0-1

Rio Grande scored their lone run in the fourth inning on a wild throw. Nick Curtis pitched 4 innings with 4 strikeouts. Jake Brown pitched 2 innings and had 1 strikeout and Jacob Johnson pitched one inning and had 1 strikeout. Seth Graham had a team high 2 hits.

Second game- 3-13

Rio Grande had a monsterous fourth inning, scoring 6 runs. Royce Grinaker pitched 3.1 and had 2 strikeouts and 2 walks. Ryan Dopson pitched 2.2 innings and had 3 walks. Nyles Huling pitched 1 inning and had 1 strikeout and 1 walk. Both Chris Starling and Jackson Smith had a RBI and Seth Graham went 4-4 at home plate. Peyton Nobles went 2-4 with a triple. 

Third game-11-18

Phillip Collins pitched 2.2 innings and had 6 hits, 3 walks and 0 strikeouts. Austin Visocchi pitched 2.1 innings and had 2 hits, 5 walks and 1 strikeout. Trey Jones pitched 1.2 innings and had 5 hits, 2 walks and 1 strikeout. Blake Matheny pitched 2.1 innings and had 3 hits, 2 walks and 1 strikeouts. Jacob Johnson had 2 hits and 1 walk. 

Brandon Ector had 3 RBIs and 1 hit. Kendall Sellers had a hit with 2 RBIs. Phillip Collins went 2-5 at the plate and had 3 RBIs.
