January 4-- The Swainsboro Tigers ran out to an 11-0 lead to open the game and never trailed as they ran past the Vidalia Indians 72-51. The #6 team in the state didn't score their first points of the game until the 2:26 mark in the first qtr. Swainsboro led by as many as 13 pts in the 2nd qtr before the Indians closed the gap to 3 behind the 3 pts shooting of Adam McLoud who ended the night with five 3's. But it was a Jamil Watkins three pointer with 2 seconds to go in the half to give the Tigers a 31-25 lead at the break. Swainsboro would extend its lead to 54-37 at the end of 3 before closing out the Indians in the 4th. Artis Kingsberry hit six 3's for the Tigers and ended the night with 21 pts. Vidalia falls to 15-2 & 4-2 in Region 2AA.
