January 8-- During their first meeting of 2020, the Vidalia City Council addressed some repair and maintenance concerns that needed attention.

The council approved just over $8,000 to repair the audio visual system in the council chambers so that the citizens can see more of what’s going on in the meetings.

The council approved approximately $58,000 for a complete replacement of all the city’s computers for every department. “Our folks have got to have what they need to work and it’s time to change them out,” said City Manager Nick Overstreet.

The Stage at City Park has some roof and damaged wood issues that will take around $11,000 to replace and the walking trail at the Vidalia Community Center will be repaired for around $7,700 dollars. “We want to get that back to where it needs to be so that the people can enjoy it,” added Overstreet.
