June 25-- Mrs. Betty Moxley Fountain, age 85, of Vidalia, died Friday, June 21, 2019, in Augusta University Medical Center, after a brief illness.

She was a native of Montgomery County and lived in Vidalia most of her life. She worked at Oxford Industries for many years, as office manager at Fountains Used Cars in Vidalia, and more recently was a caregiver for the elderly. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Vidalia.

She was preceded in death by her husband Pete Fountain in 1991; a son, John Fountain; parents, Sid and Katie Moore Moxley; two brothers, Thomas Moxley and E.W. Moxley; and three sisters, Reba Roberson, Agnes Page and Gladys Page.

Mrs. Fountain is survived by one daughter, Jean Fountain Braddy of Vidalia; four grandchildren, Daniel Braddy and wife Denise of Del Rio, Texas, Mitchell Braddy and wife April of Vidalia, Kandace Roberson and husband Justin of Emanuel County, and P.J. Fountain of Vidalia; one sister, Sydney Moxley Newsome of Vidalia; two brothers, Paul Moxley of Vidalia, and Roger Moxley and wife Wilma of the Kibbee Community.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 26th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend H.G. Ridgdill and Reverend Donnie Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
