June 11-- Kalin A. McCloud, fourteen month old son of Kristen Powell and Deroyce McCloud of Lyons, died Saturday, June 8, 2019, in Egleston Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, after an extended illness.

Kalin was always a happy child, and he always had a smile on his face. He loved playing with his mama and daddy along with his brothers and sister. He loved Mickey Mouse and Baby Shark. He was truly special, and was a fighter until the very end.

In addition to his parents, Kalin is survived by five siblings, Destinee McCloud, Jaden McCloud, Kayden McKinnon, Ayden McCloud, and Kennedi McCloud, all of Lyons; maternal grandmother, Melanie Powell of Reidsville; maternal grandfather, Teddy Powell of Vidalia; paternal grandfather, Deroyce McCloud, Sr.; maternal grandmother, Becky Middleton and husband Patrick, all of Lyons; maternal great-grandmother, Berniece Powell of Vidalia; paternal great-grandmother, Annie Bell McCloud of Lyons; paternal great-grandfather, Clarence Martin of Lyons; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 13th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Randy McDuffie and Reverend Bobby Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

 The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

Pallbearers will be Jerome Martin, Robert Rock, Brent Korn and Tyler Korn.
