May 15-- Reba “Nell” Spivey Creighton, age 76 of Soperton passed away on Monday evening, May 13, 2019 at the Serenity House in Dublin, Georgia.

Born in Dublin, she was the eldest of six children born to the late Owen and Eva Blount Spivey. She and her siblings grew up in Soperton until moving with their father’s career as a Commercial Building Superintendent. Nell owned a Vacuum Cleaner Distributorship in Indiana and Lakeland, Florida before working for many years in the Orlando / Lake Mary area as a Manager in the Telecommunications Industry. She married Dan Creighton in 1978 and they made their home and life together in the Central Florida area until returning to the Soperton area in October of 2018.

Nell enjoyed quiet time with her family especially time spent finish raising her grandson, Zachary.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Sandra K. Spivey Jenkins and grandson, Zachary Miller; who passed away in 2017.

She leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Dan Creighton, Soperton, GA, her daughter, Ronda Hannah, Birmingham, AL, siblings, Gail Day (Roswell), Columbus, GA, Ray Spivey, Columbus, GA, Cynthia Brown, Americus, GA, Randy Spivey (Janene), Ellerslie, GA, a special aunt, Patsy Spivey Lord (Wallace), Dublin, GA, a grandson, Jeremiah Miller and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 18, 2019 in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with her cousin, Brad Lord, officiating.

Nell will be laid to rest in Midway Church Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 10:00 am until the hour of the service.    

Casual attire is acceptable.

Sammons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
