June 25-- Vidalia’s 2019 July 4th celebration is Thursday July 4th and will once again feature music and fireworks.

The Swingin’ Medallions will return to Vidalia for their first concert here in almost seven years. Alexa Britton, Director of the Vidalia Convention and Visitors Bureau stated, “We’re excited to have them back in town for a public concert. The community has always come out to support and enjoy the “Party Band of the South”.”

The Swingin’ Medallions are a 52-year Southern tradition. The group’s signature high-energy style delights audiences of all ages. Their act, as well as their music, is indeed timeless. The band was made famous by its1.5 million selling hit album, “Double Shot of My Baby’s Love” in 1966. It remains the signature song of the band. “Double Shot” was followed with another hit, “She Drives Me Out of My Mind” in 1967 and in 1969, with “Hey, Hey Baby”.

Bring your chairs or blankets and come spend the evening with family and friends. Food, drink, beer and wine vendors will be in the park and there are free activities for the kids including bounce houses and 2 patriotic murals for them to color. We’ll end the evening at with the biggest fireworks show in the area.

There are no advance tickets for this event; admission will be $5.00 per person at the gate; kids 5 and under admitted free. For safety reasons coolers and outside food and drinks are not allowed in the park.
