13-year-old Wisconsin teenager Jayme Closs missing since October 15th - when her parents were found shot and killed inside the family home - has been found alive. Investigators announced Thursday night that Jayme had been found alive in Douglas County, Wisconsin, about an hour north of where she had been last seen before going missing. Investigators aren't releasing details about how she was found, but say they do have someone in custody. They are planning a press conference for Friday morning at 11am ET..

--No paycheck Friday for hundreds of thousands of federal workers, as the partial government shutdown enters day 21...tied for the longest ever.
--Friday is Day 21 of the partial shutdown, which means it ties for the longest shutdown ever. It is also the first day government workers expecting checks won't get one.
--Negotiations have stalled with the Senate holding no votes on Friday. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said of the state of shutdown talks “We’re stuck. I don’t see a way forward.”
--President Trump tweeted he's canceling a planned trip to Davos, Switzerland for the annual World Economic Forum, citing "Democrats intransigence on Border Security."
--Several union groups representing federal employees are holding shutdown rallies.

The White House has directed the Army Corps of Engineers to find money is its own budget that could be used to fund the president’s desired border wall under a national emergency declaration, multiple sources familiar with the matter told ABC News. The White House has specifically asked the Army Corps of Engineers to examine what funds could be redirected to the border wall from a $13.9 billion February 2018 emergency supplemental that was designed to fund more than 50 disaster relief projects, including in California, Florida, Texas, and Puerto Rico, among other states, according to a congressional aide with knowledge of the matter. One U.S. official said the money could be used to build as much as 315 miles of border wall under the direction of the Army Corps of Engineers.

Michael Cohen has accepted an invitation to testify in an open session before Congress next month. “I look forward to having the privilege of being afforded a platform with which to give a full and credible account of the events which have transpired,” Cohen said in a statement to ABC News, adding that he accepted the invitation “in furtherance of my commitment to cooperate and provide the American people with answers.” 

According to a US official the “the process has begun” for the withdrawal of US forces from Syria.  The official said that equipment has been moved out of Syria.  

Thursday night, San Antonio Police say they believe an 8-month-old boy reported as abducted is believed to be dead, and three members of his family have been charged in the case. Police Chief William McManus says the father, grandmother and cousin of King Jay Davila have been charged in the case of the missing baby. All are in custody on evidence tampering charges.

The Los Angeles School District is preparing a last minute deal to keep teachers from going on strike Monday. State leaders Thursday told School District officials they will be providing additional funds to the school district to meet teachers' union demands. The District is expected to make a revised offer to the teachers' union at a meeting today (Friday).

Andy Murray said Friday he plans to retire after Wimbledon because of his right hip injury -- if he can keep playing beyond this month's Australian Open.

Women's rights group UltraViolet has announced plans to fly an airplane towing a banner protesting R. Kelly over Sony Music offices in Culver City, California, on Friday, calling on imprint RCA Records to drop the singer. R. Kelly has faced widespread allegations of sexual abuse, most recently documented in the explosive Lifetime documentary series Surviving R. Kelly. Kelly has denied all accusations against him.
