May 15--  The Montgomery County Board of Commissioners held its regular meeting, Monday, May 14, 2018, at 5:30 PM.  The meeting was held at the Montgomery County Adult Literacy Center.

The Commissioners approved a one-year service agreement for the County’s election equipment with Election Systems & Software, LLC of Omaha, Nebraska.  The County’s cost of the service agreement is $3,985.00.

The Commissioners approved the Board of Education’s request to perform site work at the Montgomery County High School’s track and field area to correct safety and drainage issues.

County Manager Brandon Braddy reported that the County’s health insurance renewal is expected to increase by 10.3% costing an estimated $27,000 in additional premiums.  Manager Braddy informed the Commissioners he is obtaining additional quotes for the Commissioners to consider.

The Commissioners approved to purchase a Land Mobile Radio (LMR) device in the amount of $4,300 from AT&T.  The Sheriff’s Office will demo the technology.  The LMR device will provide the Sheriff’s Office with Enhanced Push-To-Talk (EPTT) capability through AT&T’s LTE Network.

The Commissioners have scheduled a work session at 6:00 PM this Thursday, May 17 at the Board of Commissioners Office, 310 West Broad Street, Mount Vernon, Georgia.  The purpose of the work session is to discuss road projects, road equipment and the County’s Key Policy.
