Toombs County ScholarshipsL-R, Gracey Stephens, Nick Eason (Guest Speaker), Brittany BeckumMay 10--  Two Toombs County High School Students received New York Life Grief and Sensitivity Scholarships. Gracey Stephens and Brittany Beckum both received $1000.00 scholarships on Monday night May 7th in Savannah at the New York Life Scholarship Banquet.

Toombs County High School Principal Barry Waller states, “Both of these amazing young ladies experienced the loss of their mothers way too soon. However, they have a tremendous support system as well as resolve to continue the legacy instilled in them by their moms."

The New York Life Scholarship is given annually to young people who have experienced the loss of a parent or loved one. Gracey and Brittany were two of the twelve students honored at the banquet.The guest speaker at the banquet was former pro football player as well as Toombs County Bulldog Nick Easton who shared story to losing his own mom way too soon.
