The Toombs County Bulldogs won their third game in a row and improved to 3-0 in Region 2AA and 5-2 overall after a 41-7 road win over the Bryan County Redskins Friday night.

The Bulldogs got on the board on their second offensive possession after a 65-yard drive to take a 6-0 lead on a Demetrius Owens 5-yard run with 3:08 in the first quarter.

Bryan County scored their only points of the night on the last play of the first quarter on a long 60-yard pass to take a 7-6 lead.

Toombs County took control of the game in the second period scoring four touchdowns. After a successful on-side kick Demetrius Owens finished off the drive and scored his second TD of the night on a 2-yard run the Rafael Perez PAT was good to give the Bulldogs the lead 13-7.

Quarterback Trey Cloud threw his first of three touchdown passes in the game the first of two to Chandler Lynn for a 54-yard TD to put Toombs County up 20-7.

Bulldog Dawson Malone recovers a Redskin fumble by the punter and runs it into the end zone with 6:09 in the half and after the Perez PAT to make the score 27-7.

Toombs County scored again with only 47 seconds remaining Cloud hits Raekwon Powell on a 40-yard pass for another Bulldog TD and a 34-7 lead at halftime.

In the third quarter the Bulldogs scored their final TD with 1:36 on the clock when Cloud hit Cole Graham on a 21-yard pass the Perez PAT was good to make the final score 41-7 Toombs County.
