October 5--  The ECI Bulldogs scored on their first play from scrimmage and on their first seven possessions to shutout the Treutlen Vikings 56 – 0 on Friday night in Twin City.

Bulldog running back Eric Dixon took the first play from scrimmage around the left end and ran untouched 68 yards to give ECI the early 7 – 0 lead. After the Vikings fumbled on their second offensive play giving the Bulldogs great field position at the Treutlen 18, ECI scored again just 4 plays later when QB Chase Whitehead hit Ja’Rell Jordan on a 7 yard touchdown reception.

On the Bulldog’s next possession Whitehead found Rejar Rock cutting across the middle of the Viking defense on a 55 yard touchdown pass. On their next 2 possessions, ECI scored touchdowns on a 22 yard run by Rejar Rock and a 50 yard scamper by Eric Dixon, extending the lead to 35 – 0 with 8:37 left in the second quarter.

Bulldog QB Whitehead found Rock again on an 18 yard touchdown pass and Dixon added another 40 yard run to extend the Bulldog lead to 49 – 0 at the half.

With a running clock in the second half, ECI added their final score of the night on a 3 yard run by DJ Jordan with 7:25 left in the third quarter to make the final 56 – 0.

Treutlen managed just 73 total yards on the night while the Bulldogs rolled up 387 on the ground and another 83 through the air for a total of 470 on the night.
