August 1—The Vidalia Lady Indians Softball team has wrapped up their summer schedule and open the regular season next Thursday, August 9th at Bryan County.

“It has been a very good summer for us. We had ten freshmen to enter our program this year so I was able to run two teams this summer kind of like a Varsity and Junior Varsity. I am a little undecided on who will go with which roster because some of those freshmen really came in and worked hard in the weight room and they are a talented bunch of girls to go with what we already had so they can make a push to play.” Coach Brad Thompson said.

“Our sport is a little different than others because we start the season with a region game against Bryan County who is in the same situation we are, they have a lot of returning starters and are ready to go as well. This is the first time in my coaching career that I have all nine starters returning. The girls are fighting for a spot to play.” Thompson said.
