July 12—Congratulations to Vidalia High School Indian standout basketball player Tahj Jones who has signed with Action Sports Academy in Atlanta. This fall Tahj will play under the direction of Head Coach David Harrison. Every year ASA seeks to find players with unique talent and skills on the court. ASA will provide Tahj the experience and training necessary to prepare and compete at the collegiate level without losing any of his 4 years of NCAA eligibility. Over the last 5 years, ASA has placed over 200 players in college. Coach Harrison is excited to have Tahj join his team and cannot wait to watch how he develops as a highly effective player.

“I would like to thank everybody for being there and supporting me every step of the way. I will get to play 45 to 50 games and have multiple college coaches to come and watch me play and give me the opportunity to get a scholarship” Jones said.

“This really gives him the opportunity to go find a place to play at the next level. He can work on basketball and academics and get in a position to play after prep school. We are excited for him and hope he really attacks this opportunity like he did for us for the last four years. He played for a state title his senior year and the Final Four as a freshman. He is a great kid and a gym rat and one of those guys you hate to see leave because he meant so much to the program.” VHS Head Coach Tommy Dalley said.

“We are really proud of him and he worked really hard to get to this position. We had several other routes but we feel this is the best opportunity for him to get stronger and mature and get ready for the next level.” Eric Jones said.
