June 18-- Congratulations to Vidalia Indian TyQuan Powell who signed a letter of intent for a Track and Field scholarship at Dodge Community College in Kansas.

"I am very thankful for this opportunity. I want to thank Coach Godbee and my mom and family for pushing me. I couldn't have done this without my teammates. I hope to compete in the Olympics one day and I plan on working hard to get there." Powell said.

"TyQuan has put a lot of work into this next phase of his journey. He has always wanted to go to college and compete. Winning state last year helped him get up to this level so he would have these opportunities. I can't wait to watch all of the great things that are coming his way, he's very special." VHS Coach Mandy Godbee said.
