Coach Hart "I am very excited for this team. It still does not feel real. This is the first Girls team in program history to win a State Championship. They believed and worked hard all season long. I told them since day one it was going to come down to the 4x400 meter relay, the last event of the meet, and we came out on Top. Seniors Martasia Johnson, Jala Murphy and Jasmin Phillips were all in 8th grade when I started coaching track. They were my first group and I promised them they would be state champions by the time they graduated. I am very proud of Courtney Madison for receiving the high point award for the 2nd year straight. She works very hard and will continue to get better. I am also very proud of Junior Natalie Owens, Sophomore Mahogany Johnson and two freshmen Myesha Hall and Jasmine Smith. They were a huge part in helping us accomplish our goal. They all will be back next year.”
