February 28-- Montgomery County Eagle senior Clayton Harvey has signed a letter of intent for a scholarship to play football for the ASA Miami Silver Storm in North Miami Beach, FL. ASA Miami is a Junior College and a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association.

"I want to thank all of my coaches, football, track, basketball, they have all worked hard with me to get me to this point and my teachers for leading me down the right path. I want to thank my parents for all of their help and my teammates and everyone else that has helped and supported me. I am excited for this great opportunity." Harvey said.

"It is always great to celebrate the accomplishment and hard work of a young man who is doing things the right way. We expect him to go on and do big things. We are hoping for him to get down there and play his two years and get his Associates Degree and play the way we know he can and move on to a four-year school. He was an All-State and All-Region player and just worked hard for us. He has been such a big part of multiple programs here at Montgomery County and we are so proud of him to get a scholarship." MCHS Head Coach John Bowen said.

"I am very proud of my son. I am just so happy and it is a great honor for him to get that scholarship. We are just thrilled for him and know that he will do well." Mother Jennifer Blount said.
