February 5-- Vidalia Heritage Academy ‘s High School and Middle School Archery Teams competed in the NASP (National Archery in Schools Program) on February 2nd in Perry, GA. The Middle School Team, led by strong performances from Josey Harrell (282), Julia Beacham (280), and Austin Wynns (277), posted an overall team score of 3069 and will now advance to the Georgia State Championship on March 2nd to compete against 11 other public and private schools for the state title.

The High School Team, powered by strong scores from Elliott Sammons (283), and Whit Sikes (275), unfortunately fell short of moving on to the state finals. Both teams however will still compete for a state title in the Georgia Independent Christian Athletic Association at Georgia Southern University on March 10th. First year head coach Shae Beacham has been thrilled at the team’s progress throughout the year. “The NASP has greatly reduced the number of district and regional tournaments which has made the competition even stronger. I am so excited for what these students on both teams have done this year and am looking forward to coaching them through the state finals,” she said. 2 5 18 VHA Archery Team
