February 3---- Vidalia High School’s basketball game against Metter Friday night could be the last high school game played in Ralph Parsons gym.

Vidalia girls or boys team would need to reach the region championship in order for their teams to qualify to host a playoff game. Next season, the teams will move to the new gym that is part of the new high school.

The Vidalia Indians downed the Metter Tigers Friday night and head to the Region 2-AA tournament Friday at Toombs County High School as the second seed.  The Lady Indians lost to Metter 56-22.

vhsbblastgameDuring half time of the boys game Friday night, a special recognition ceremony was held as a tribute to the life and legacy of coaches Ralph Parson, the name sake of the gym, and to Chunk Reid, the name sake of the court. There was also be an acknowledgement of all former players in attendance.
