Going into the final game of the regular season the GHSA 2AA region was already set for the first three positions with Benedictine, Toombs Co. and Vidalia having secured playoff positions in that order. However, in an exciting turn of events the Toombs County Bulldogs prevented the Swainsboro Tigers from securing the fourth seed in the region by defeating them 32-22 at the Pit in Lyons. Had Swainsboro won, they would have secured the fourth spot, however on Saturday morning coaches from Swainsboro, Jeff Davis and Bacon Co. met at Buck Cravey field in Vidalia for a coin-toss to determine who would play in the first of two mini-games on Monday evening at Vidalia's field.  All three schools flipped coins and the odd team out earned a bye in the first mini-game, the fortunate team being Jeff Davis. As a result, Swainsboro and Bacon Co. will play at 7:00pm with the winner then playing Jeff Davis in the second game, which follows a twenty minute break after the completion of mini-game one.  The winner of that game will be seeded fourth and play at Thomasville on Friday in Round 1 of the GHSA AA State Playoffs.

The format for the tie breakers will be two halves that are five minutes long each, for each game.

Game 1: Bacon Co. and Swainsboro 7:00pm (Monday November 6, 2017)

Game 2: Winner of Game 1 and Jeff Davis will play 20 minutes after the completion of game one to determine the fourth seed.

Admission to the games is $5

The top three seeds have already been established and they are as follows; Vidalia will travel to Brooks Co., Toombs Co. will host Fitzgerald and Benedictine will host Berrien County in round one on November 10th.
